In Louisiana, a “Bar Card” is the common term for a Responsible Vendor (RV) Server Permit, which is required to legally serve or sell alcohol and tobacco. The permit is issued by the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control (ATC) after you complete a state-approved training course and pass the exam.
